Which server is the best to sign up with - either hostingsource.com (https://www.hostingsource.com/dedicated-servers/) or hostround.com (https://www.hostround.com/hosting/usa-dedicated-server)?

Just go ahead and give Apps4Rent.com web host a try. It is well-known US web host.Top notch support, affordable pricing, and I haven't seen a bit of downtime.

Choose a host who understands your specific needs, and who can sit down with you and talk about what your needs are, and how that host can accommodate for those needs.

Give CloudArion (http://www.cloudarion.com/) a try. I have never had a problem they couldn't fix, and fast.
They offer superb support - I maintain approx 8 sites, all at their VPS hosting account.
