Cloud hosting is better than VPS in any case as there you can upgrade resources as and when needed.

VPS can give you limited resources so if you need to upgrade downtimes can be there but when it comes to Cloud hosting , you can create instances yourself and then proceed to use them as traffic is thre

Cloud hosting can be costlier but much cheaper when it comes on calculation by traffic

VPS Hosting
Hosting providers logically create many virtual servers on one physical server and distribute it to their customers.

Cloud Hosting
The hosting provider gives a cloud environment to clients for hosting a website. Cloud refers to a group of virtual storage. It is generally set up with a fail-over cluster. That means you'll have another live version of your website. So if your site would go offline due to any server problem, your host can load the website immediately from the other server in the same cluster.

Accuweb Hosting provides Cloud VPS (https://www.accuwebhosting.com/cloud-hosting#cloud-vps) service in which you'll get a cloud environment in VPS.  Their all plans come with full administrative access and fully scalable resources. They give 100% hardware uptime guarantee and excellent 24*7 technical support.

VPS hosting: In VPS hosting the server will be located in a physical machine. Through Virtualization technology, the physical layer of the host server separated into multiple compartments to host multiple sites at a time.

Cloud hosting: It is the most preferred type of hosting among several webmasters around the world. In this type of hosting, your site hosted on the cloud-computing platform and can access the internet upon an on-demand basis.

A cloud server is essentially a VPS server.

the differences are subtle and vary based on your definition of what is a 'cloud' . The main differences are:
- Clouds are usually accesible via an API allowing you for dynamic reosurce provisioning
- Clouds have a pay-as-you-go model, while VPS usually has a fixed monthly price that includes certain bandwidth
- VPS is focused on the server/compute with hard disk local storage while clouds usually provide more services such as database, load balancing, networking, etc.

Cloud hosting is currently the foremost reliable solution on the market, because it comes with literally no downtime. With cloud hosting, your host provides you with a cluster of servers. Your files and resources are replicated on each server. When one amongst the cloud servers is busy or has any problems, your traffic is automatically routed to a different server within the cluster.

With VPS (Virtual Private Server) hosting, you continue to share a server with other users, however, your web host allocates a separate partition for you on the server. this suggests you get a dedicated server space and a reserved amount of computing power and memory. In fact, VPS hosting will be great for medium-sized businesses with rapidly growing websites.
