I would normally look for in below order:
Support (Technical support is very important), Value for Price (you will get what you pay for), Uptime, Reliability!

I can also suggest you comparing these web hosts:
1) Liquidweb.com
2) Canspace.ca
3) HostingSource.com
Web site hosting no longer needs to be a long and tedious search, so you need to do your best in order to choose the right web host.

Take your time to consider digitalserver.com.mx Mexico dedicated servers - the price for them is great. Great host, haven't had any problems so far.
I like their tech support, where you can talk to their support team on msn, but they aren't on 24/7 which would be better.

I got all I desired and even more. Kvchosting.net proved to be one of the best Support (and overall) experiences I had so far.
I can only hope that this host won’t change their high level services, but to continue to increase their quality.

Rockhoster.com have been fantastic. Their email servers, web servers, etc. have never given me trouble.
Their billing is reliable, their price is great and their service and attention to detail commendable.

In my web hosting with Cloudarion.com servers, I also learned that the hosting panel which they use is very good one and they have learned it well to make users understand pros and cons of things which we have to do every day. I don’t have any complaint against them.

I really appreciate Centohost.com for their reliable hosting solutions on web. Before I have tested 10 hosting providers but was not satisfied.
I left my last hosting provider because they repeatedly made a mess of billing and servers went down a lot. Now everything works efficiently.

QHoster.com will be good choice. I have been working hard these days on my website, so often have to upload and rest of stuff related to database, emails.
These guys tolerate my things and some times I think I am asking so many things though paying very few bucks.

These guys mean business. Hostunmetered.net is not only the most affordable web host out there , but their uptime has been great, and I'd say it has been over 99%, and my site hasn't gone down in months. They offer  a great list of servers to choose from. I like their pricing.

I'd like to say that Rockhoster.com is a perfect option for hosting websites. They gave me a good deal of affordable hosting service and top of the shelf tools, all the way. I don't know the future, who knows, but one does need to worry about future if its going ok at present.
