Hosting for a small community forum?

I want to launch a small community forum and need shared hosting for it. Considering hostpro.com - does it hold up for this kind of site? I'd need daily backups and DDoS protection.

Package plans from hostingsource.com and planethoster.com are worth trying due to their top-notch services.
The package options are straightforward, the pricing is good, and overall I’ve been happy with the value.
