Hi everyone,

I’ve been reading up on different iOS development setups, especially for developers who use Windows/Linux as their main OS or teams needing remote build agents.

Renting a dedicated Mac Mini remotely seems like an interesting option to run Xcode or set up 24/7 CI/CD build runners without buying new hardware upfront. But I've also heard licensing rules and remote desktop latency can be tricky.

For those who have tried renting a Mac Mini or hosting one remotely:

How has the experience been compared to just buying a physical Mac?

Do you prefer self-hosting/colocation or using managed services?

Would love to hear your honest thoughts and experiences!
